New AI-powered solution helps financial institutions automate complex workflows across capital markets and corporate banking.

SUNNYVALE, Calif., August 25, 2026 - Google Cloud has announced the launch of Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, a purpose-built agentic artificial intelligence solution designed to help financial professionals and institutions automate complex, end-to-end workflows across capital markets and corporate banking. The solution brings Google's agentic AI capabilities directly into financial workflows while emphasizing security, governance, data controls and verifiable research outputs.

Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services is initially available in preview and includes a Google-managed Financial Research agent, more than 50 specialized financial skills, secure enterprise data connectors, third-party agents and the broader Gemini Enterprise platform. According to Google Cloud, the solution is already being used by financial institutions including CME Group and Deutsche Bank, with Deutsche Bank participating as a key design partner for the Financial Research agent.

The new platform is designed to address challenges faced by financial organizations that require both speed and accuracy while working with sensitive information. Traditional financial research can involve multiple data sources, internal systems, market information, regulatory filings and confidential documents. Google Cloud says Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services is designed to bring these elements together within a governed environment, allowing organizations to use AI while maintaining controls around data access and security.

A central component of the offering is the Financial Research agent. The agent is designed to conduct end-to-end research and provide explainability through confidence scores, documented methodologies, data snapshots and source citations. It can connect with enterprise information through Model Context Protocol integrations and can produce reports and documents in formats familiar to financial teams.

The solution also provides specialized skills for a variety of financial workflows. These include credit risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, market news analysis, investigative financial research, Know Your Customer analysis and other activities. Google Cloud says these capabilities can help relationship managers, advisors, compliance teams, private equity specialists and other financial professionals reduce repetitive work and focus more time on higher-value activities.

Another important feature is the platform's connectivity with financial data and enterprise systems. Google Cloud has announced integrations with providers including FactSet, Finnhub, Fiscal.ai, Guidepoint, S&P Global, Moody's, MSCI, PitchBook, Dun & Bradstreet, SEC Edgar and CoinDesk Data and Indices. These connections are intended to help organizations access authorized data while maintaining existing permissions and controls.

Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services also supports third-party agents and an expanding partner ecosystem. Google Cloud says financial institutions can work with technology and consulting partners to customize and deploy specialized capabilities without being locked into a single ecosystem. The platform includes governance features intended to give IT and risk teams visibility into AI usage, security policies and audit requirements.

The launch reflects Google Cloud's broader strategy of developing industry-specific AI solutions rather than relying solely on general-purpose AI tools. The company says additional purpose-built industry solutions are planned, including offerings for healthcare, life sciences and other professional services.

For financial institutions, the introduction of Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services could provide a pathway toward greater automation of research, compliance, risk analysis and other knowledge-intensive processes. By combining AI agents, specialized skills, enterprise data connections and governance controls, Google Cloud is positioning the platform as an enterprise-focused solution for organizations seeking to integrate agentic AI into regulated financial environments.
